【摘要】:ThisBritishStandarddefinestheperformancerequirementsforvarioustypesofcablesandcablesystemsrequiredtohaveresistancetofire.Thecables(system)areusedforcircuitsthathavetomaintaintheircircuitintegrityforlifesafety,fire-fightingandpropertyprotectionsystems.ThisBritishStandardisapplicabletocablesofratedvoltagenotexceeding600/1000V.CurrentlythisBritishStandarddoesnotcoverthefollowingcables:a)cablesofratedvoltagenotexceeding600/1000Vwiththeoveralloutsidediameterlessthan20mmwhicharenotcapableofbeingfittedintothetestrig;b)wiringsystemswherethecablesofratedvoltagenotexceeding600/1000Vareinstalledwithinmetallicconduit;c)wiringsystemsusedforfirealarmdetectionandsoundercircuitsasdescribedinBS5839.NOTEThebasictestapparatus(testladder,continuityandvoltagecheckingarrangement,sourceofheat,shock-producingdevice)usedinthetestmethodgiveninAnnexBistakenfromBSEN50362.Thisstandardstatesthattheapparatusandtestmethodareintendedforcableswithanoveralldiameterexceeding20mm.ThisBritishStandardalsodefinestheperformancerequirementsformethodsofcablefixing,clipsandcablejointing.ThetestwithinthisBritishStandardincludes:—radiationviadirectimpingement;—mechanicalimpactdirectlyontothecable;and—awaterjetsprayeddirectlyontothecable.Alltheelementsofthetestarecarriedoutonasinglesampleofcable.
