【摘要】:ThisdocumentestablishestheXMLencodingofthemethodofLocationReferencingusedbyTPEGapplications.TPEGapplicationscontaintheinformationrequiredbyaclientTPEGdecoder(i.e.bothLocationReferencingandeventinformation),topresentalltheinformationintendedfortheend-userwhenitwasoriginatedbytheserviceprovider.LocationReferencingrequiresaserviceprovidertogiveanimpressionorimage,tothehumanend-user,ofwhereaneventhastakenplace.Thiscannotbedoneeasilybecausethehumanend-usermayormaynotbefamiliarwiththelocation,tpeg-lochastheaddedchallengeofattemptingtobeaslanguageindependentaspossible.Thisisachievedbytheuseoftpeg-loctables(essentiallyword-orienteddataobjectdictionaries).tpeg-locistherecommendedLocationReferencingsystemforTPEG.Itprovideslocationdatainamachinereadableformthatallowsa"thick"clientsuchasanavigationsystemtomap-match,on-the-fly,tolocatetheeventbeingdescribedontoadigitalmapdisplay.However,itispossibletoadditionallyuseotherlocationmethods,suchasthe'Link-id'methodbysuitablymodifyingthetpegML.dtdtoincludetherelevantlines,e.g.:%link-idML;Itisvital,forfurtherunderstandingofthisdocument,tohavemorethanapassingunderstandingofthetpeg-locbinaryspecificationwhichdescribes,amongotherthings,inastep-bystepapproach:point,finkandareadefinitions,andhowtheyarestructuredtoprovideafullLocationReferencingsystem.
